Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez wants to be competing in Europe within three years.

"If we want to go to the next level, we need to be successful in the next six months," he said.

"We have to keep working with the squad, which will give us the platform to build on to the next level, which will be to one day get into the top seven in the Premier League, which I believe will take three years."
