Roberto Martinez is adamant Fernando Torres will prove a bargain buy for Chelsea - even at £50 million.
The Chelsea striker started off on the subs' bench but came on after an hour and again failed to score in victory against Wigan Athletic.
But Wigan boss Martinez said: "Torres is going to be a bargain for Chelsea at the end of his contract. It's difficult now and there's a lot of expectation on him. His movement was very good and his experience is invaluable.
"He fouls our keeper and gets three points for the team. That's experience you buy with that sort of player."
