Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez says their 9-1 thrashing by Tottenham earlier this season is long forgotten.

The two clubs again face eachother this weekend at the DW.

Martinez said: "People say that defeat at Tottenham was a humiliating experience. But it is only a humiliation if you do not react in the right way.

"We showed enormous character to beat Sunderland in our next game.

"There is no talk of revenge or having to prove ourselves this time.

"Our focus is on our league position. We are in a relegation fight and have to pick up points to pull away from trouble."
