Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has hit out at Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.
Martinez believes Pavlyuchenko would have been in serious trouble if referee Andre Marriner had spotted the clash with skipper Gary Caldwell.
However, Marriner did not include it in his report and FA bosses are unlikely to take further action after reviewing the incident on Wednesday.
"It was a very nasty elbow," said Martinez. "Gary took a nasty blow to the mouth from Pavlyuchenko and it's a shame the referee didn't see it. It's the kind of action you don't want to see on a football pitch.
"His three front teeth are out of position and the dentist will work on that. But his bravery to get up and carry on was a reflection of the team during the whole game."
