Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez feels Emmanuel Adebayor's spell at Real Madrid has made him a better player.
Martinez expects the striker to take the top flight by storm following his summer loan move to Tottenham.
He said: "He is getting better and better from every experience he accumulates. Going to Real Madrid has taken him to a better level.
"To have him in your squad with the experience of Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid means he is a special, special player.
"As a player you are as good as your experiences. He has been in a very demanding club. Believe me it is 24 hours you need to be at your best. You cannot afford to be sloppy.
"Players that go to Real Madrid or Barcelona, when they make their next move they seem to be above other players because they do not drop their standards.
"In Emmanuel's case, to maintain everything without dropping his standards makes him a much better player.''
