Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez hasn't ended his interest in Villarreal striker Marco Ruben.
The People says Martinez is hoping to land Villarreal's Argentinian striker Ruben, 24, at the second attempt.
Latics chairman Dave Whelan blocked a £6million move a year ago - even though the player had flown over to join.
Now Martinez hopes to get the price down and will make his move if Wigan manage to keep their Premier League status.
