Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez feels he knows tonight's opponents Manchester City inside-out.
Martinez admits he feels no great need to do his homework on the outgoing league champions.
He said: "They are a magnificent team and we all know each other.
"They are only 25 miles from us. It is a Greater Manchester derby so if they didn't know us and we didn't know them, there would be something going on.
"This is the sort of season we want. There's only City, Chelsea and Wigan who are involved in two competitions at this moment.
"It requires a strong mentality and we've never had that before."
