Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez accepts they may face a battle to keep winger Victor Moses.
Top Premier League vultures are set to circle Moses - and Wigan are bracing themselves for bids in January.
But Martinez said: "We wouldn't want to lose any players we've got. January is a period that we need to improve the squad, it's not a matter of losing the good players that we've got.
"We've got players with real potential and great futures but at the moment I'm looking to change the dynamics of this run of seven league defeats. I'm confident that January will improve the squad if anything."
