Wigan boss Martinez insists Europe realistic target

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is adamant Europe is a realistic target, despite last week's thrashing at Portsmouth.

And he claims Wigan, who face Fulham tomorrow at the DW Stadium, are ahead of schedule on the path to European football.

Martinez said: "At times we have reached peaks that show just how good we can be.

"In the short term we want to win as many games as we can and in the longer term we want to get into Europe."
