Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is adamant Argie striker Mauro Boselli will prove his class.
Martinez forked out a club record £6.5million to sign the Argentine star from Estudiantes in the summer.
The Wigan striker had his penalty saved by West Ham United goalkeeper Rob Green on Saturday, and has been a flop thus far.
But boss Martinez said: "Mauro is still settling in because English football is very different to what he's been used to.
"But he scored 50 goals in two seasons in the Copa Libertadores and the Argentine League and I'm very confident he will do the same for us.
"We're all excited about having Mauro here as he's a real goalscorer. When he's at his best it will mean a lot of goals.
"His movement is sensational and we have to use his qualities. I'm pretty confident he can be a huge asset for this club."
