Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is happy to see Colombia striker Hugo Rodallega and Paraguay defender Antolin Alcaraz make progress in the Copa America.
While accepting it's a far from ideal state of affairs, Martinez insists the positives of the situation far outweigh the negatives.
"It's about finding the right balance, but I feel we'll be able to do that when both players return," Martinez told the Wigan Evening Post.
"We'll make sure they have a good break at the end of the tournament and we'll be able to use their experiences in a good way.
"I honestly don't feel it is in any way negative having them over there playing for their countries.
"I feel the more successful they can be, the more they will be able to bring back to the squad on their return.
"You are talking about two players who are naturally extremely fit, physically, and the possibility of fatigue is not a concern at all for me."
