Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez believes David Moyes can make a success of his job at Manchester United.

Martínez believes Moyes can handle the pressure and expectation.

"You are talking about the third longest-serving manager after Sir Alex and Arsène Wenger,'' said Martínez of Moyes. "He's been through everything and has incredible experience. I've been very impressed with David Moyes every time we have played against Everton. There's a similarity with that competitive edge, that [Sir Alex Ferguson] mentality.

"When you are 11 years in a job, just one year is an incredible journey for anybody. I can only imagine what 11 years can do for you."
