Wigan boss Martinez happy with improvements

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is happy with their progress under his charge this season.

The Latics have taken five points out of a possible 15 from their last five games, but the Spaniard is not concerned and hopes his side can retain the form they showed against Fulham heading into the international break when they resume their Premier League campaign at Tottenham on Sunday.

"I don't look at points. We lost at Everton to a penalty in the last minute, so you can't look at just the points tally," Martinez told the Wigan Evening Post.

"I am far more interested in the performances - and the good performances we have had have been exceptional. In that respect, I feel we are probably where we deserve to be in terms of our performances."
