ITV pundit Roberto Martinez explained how he would prepare for a penalty shootout, and how his countrymen are favourites to retain their Euro crown. "I think it's important that at that moment you know how your players are feeling. You will have a list of your priority takers.

"You need to find out how the players are feeling and decide from that which five can convert the penalties," Martinez explained.

"It's not a technical exercise, anyone can convert a penalty when there's no pressure, it's a mental exercise, and you need to pick players who won't be mentally affected."

The Spaniard believes that the Euros triumph is in his compatriots' hands.

"It's for Spain to lose now," Martinez stated. "I think this Spanish side have been able to cope with the pressure."
