Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez says he'd be mad to write off the threat of Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney.
Rooney is expected to see action for the first time since signing his new contract with United.
Martinez told Absolute Radio: "Wayne Rooney we all know is a world class player, the talent that he's got he showed last season.
"He's part of the danger of Man United so having said that we have to respect Wayne and respect Man United but I'm more concerned about ourselves and reaching our level.
"It doesn't matter if Wayne plays or not we have to be at our best if we are going to win. We are going to Old Trafford to make our fans proud and make sure we compete for the 90 minutes."
