Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has hinted at a busy final week of the winter market.
Martinez has offers in for several transfer targets.
He said: "I have not got a set number of signings in mind. What we are looking at is bringing in the right characters and personalities - but it also depends on who is available.
"We won't be going into panic buys or buying for the sake of it.
"That's not the way I like to work, especially in the January window, which is always a little limited.
"We are very, very excited about a number of possible signings, but the focus has to stay on the players here first and foremost and the games we have coming up."
