Wigan boss Martinez excited about Moses, McCarthy potential

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is excited about their young stars.

Martinez is delighted to have Victor Moses - a January buy from cash-strapped Crystal Palace - and believes along with James McCarthy, 19, he has two of the hottest young prospects around.

He said: "When you have got the talent and not the mentality, you are not going to achieve anything.

"Those two have the whole package."

As with many players at Wigan, Martinez knows he will inevitably lose them to one of the big boys one day - but not yet.

He said: "They are not ready to move on yet. They feel at home here.

"They want to enjoy their football and be important in a Premier League football club."
