Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez wants to extend the loan of Chelsea winger Scott Sinclair into next season.
The 21-year-old has made just one Premier League start - the 4-0 thrashing at Portsmouth back in October - although he has clocked up 16 appearances off the substitutes' bench.
And despite seeing Victor Moses overtake him in the pecking order in recent weeks, Martinez insists Sinclair has a Wigan future.
He told the Wigan Evening Post: "It's safe to say everyone knows I really value Scott's potential as a player.
"I know it's been a tough season for him, but he has developed massively over the last 10 or 11 months and has gone on to a different level as a human being.
"We would all love to carry on working with Scott, but we'll have to sit down with him and see how he feels.
"I'm sure he's been a little frustrated this season with how it's gone, but his standards on a daily basis have been fantastic.
"And when you can do that, you always give yourself a fantastic opportunity to fulfil your potential."
