Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez won't criticise QPR's January spending.
Martinez also refused to criticise Rangers for their policy of splashing the cash this month.
"Internally, as a football club, you need to spend the money you can afford," he said. "And if QPR can afford the money that is being mentioned, then that is fantastic.
"As long as it doesn't risk putting their future in a similar situation as we have seen with other clubs, I have no problem with it.
"Bringing in new players of a high calibre brings a fantastic, competitive edge to your football club.
"I think we all knew when Harry Redknapp took the job that QPR would be putting up a real fight for their Premier League status.
"I don't think it's been too much of a surprise as to what's been happening.
"But it can only be good for the Premier League and the competition, and it's up to the rest of us to be as good as they can be to compete."
