Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez hopes to keep hold of striker Hugo Rodallega.

Although Rodallega is alarmingly out of sorts, Martinez hopes he can persuade the 26-year-old to remain with Wigan, despite alleged interest from Liverpool.

"I wouldn't like to lose Hugo," said Martinez.

"The reality is he had a little bit of a stop start season and niggles.

"It is important everyone is fully focused to win games for Wigan and I would love to keep Hugo for the longer-term."
