Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has been buoyed by the recent form of his side.
The Latics have taken points off both Chelsea and Liverpool in their past two matches but is well aware that the Boxing Day meeting with reigning champions Manchester United will require another complete step-up from his players.
"But I am very happy with our form against Chelsea and Liverpool - including our attacking play.
"To get 10 attempts on goal against a team like Liverpool shows the attacking threat that we have.""You saw what happened at Fulham - one of the strongest units defensively in this league - and the way they won this game showed there was no sign of weakness," Martinez said of United's 5-0 victory at Craven Cottage on Wednesday.
