Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has confirmed interest in Sporting Kansas City attacker Roger Espinoza.

Espinoza - a star of Honduras' Olympics team - still needs a couple of full caps to qualify for a work permit.

Martinez said: "We will keep a close eye on him.

"We have got really strong links with Honduras and been very successful there with Wilson Palacios, Hendry Thomas and Maynor Figueroa."
