Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez was left frustrated by their 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion.

It left Martinez cursing his luck but promising a survival fight to the finish.

"On another day, if you're mid-table you win this game by five or six goals," said the Wigan boss. "Unfortunately where we are, every goal is a big mountain.

"At the moment it seems we've killed a black cat or something, but I was born on Friday the 13th so I can't be superstitious.

"It's no use feeling sorry for yourself and looking for excuses. We need to do better."
