Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has admitted his admiration for Swansea City midfielder Darren Pratley.

Although Martinez did not sign former Fulham junior Pratley for Swansea, he is a confirmed fan of the ex-Fulham star who scored seven goals last term.

"Pratley is a player I know well - he is young and has Premier League potential," the Wigan boss said.

"And we do need different ingredients in our squad."
