Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez branded Charles N'Zogbia "world class" after their 3-1 FA Cup win over Hull City.
N'Zogbia came off the substitutes' bench to spark a Latics fightback after his side had gone in at half-time 1-0 down in a low-key all-Premier League FA Cup tie.
The former Newcastle forward scored twice and set up another for James McCarthy in a blistering 20-minute spell before Scott Sinclair wrapped up a 4-1 win in the final minute.
Martinez said: "Charlie is a world-class player. I think this season we have seen consistency in his play and that is very pleasing.
"Three games in a week is hugely demanding and the role Charlie had to play was fantastic.
"He played fantastically well and made a huge difference. His attitude was very good and his football is something the fans would pay money to watch."
