Wigan Athletic boss Chris Hutchings has likened new signing Jason Koumas to Manchester United's Paul Scholes.
"Jason may play a little bit wider than Scholes does but he has the same ability," said the Wigan manager.
"They both have great vision and it is our aim to get the best out of Jason, week in, week out.
"He is a confidence player and deserves to be back on the Premier League stage. Jason will give the fans something to shout about as he is an exciting player.
"You need creativity at the top level and he will bring that in abundance."
