Wigan Athletic boss Chris Hutchings hopes to have star striker Emile Heskey back after the next international break.
Heskey has been sidelined since mid-September after breaking a metatarsal in Wigan's 1-1 draw with Fulham.
It had been hoped Heskey would be fit to return for England's final qualifier against Croatia at Wembley on November 21.
But Hutchings has revealed the former Liverpool forward is likely to make his comeback after that match, with the club facing Arsenal on November 24.
He told The Sun: "Heskey should be back with us in a few weeks after the next international break."
Meanwhile, Hutchings is waiting to learn the extent of the injury which forced midfielder Michael Brown to miss Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Birmingham City.
He added: "Unfortunately Michael Brown got a thigh strain in training on Friday which ruled him out, and that was a bit of a nuisance."
