Wigan Athletic boss Chris Hutchings has revealed how he gave up his brickie's job to join Chelsea.
He grinned: "I was a brickie playing part-time for Harrow Borough when Chelsea came in for me.
"The thought has occurred that we may need a brick wall in the goalmouth today."
Today's Chelsea are a very different club to the one full-back Hutchings joined in 1980.
He recalled: "The dog track was still around the pitch and the ticket office was a portakabin.
"The club had fallen on hard times. I still got paid, although not as much as I was earning as a brickie plus what I got for playing part-time for Harrow."
