Wigan boss Hutchings admits frustration with international break

Wigan Athletic boss Chris Hutchings admits some frustration with the international break.

"It's a bit frustrating to lose half your squad during these breaks, but the other side of the coin is that it gives us an extra week to get lads fit," Hutchings told the club's official website.

"It is the same for Portsmouth. Harry (Redknapp) will lose a lot of players to the international call-ups. Although some of the preparations are obviously difficult with so many players missing, there is still a lot of work that can be done.

"I still had the likes of Titus Bramble, Ryan Taylor, Antoine Sibierski, Marcus Bent, Paul Scharner, Fitz Hall, Emmerson Boyce, Salomon Olembe, Rachid Bouaouzan, Denny Landzaat and Michael Brown available and we achieved plenty."
