Wigan Athletic boss Chris Hutchings admits he is keen on Sheffield Wednesday winger Chris Brunt.

Hutchings has refused to deny his interest in the 22-year-old and confirmed he is looking to bring in some youth over the summer.

He told the Wigan Observer: "We're trying to get better players here than the ones we had last year.

"We're building a young side. Look at the likes of Tottenham - they've got all the young, top players. This will take two or three years, it won't happen overnight.

"Signings don't happen overnight, it can take four or five weeks sometimes.

"Players are away on holiday now and they want to think about things.

"Chris Brunt is a possibility, but I am not saying yes or no."
