Wigan boss Coyle raps Trapattoni urging Spurs, Man Utd target McCarthy to leave

Wigan Athletic boss Owen Coyle has told Giovanni Trapattoni to mind his own business.

Republic of Ireland boss Trapattoni has told Tottenham and Manchester United target James McCarthy he needs to leave Wigan if he wants to play regularly for his country.

But Coyle said: "If that's what Mr Trapattoni thinks, I could say to him he should be starting every game for Ireland.

"Let managers do their jobs at their clubs, that's what I'd say to Mr Trapattoni."
