Wigan Athletic boss Owen Coyle has likened on-loan Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell to Wayne Rooney.
Powell has started to reproduce the kind of displays at Wigan which sealed a £6 million move from Crewe to Old Trafford 16 months ago.
"Nick is a natural footballer and is very much like a Wayne Rooney," said Coyle.
"I know United have a position where they think Wayne is best but in my eyes he can play anywhere such is his football intelligence on the pitch. Nick Powell is like that."
