Wigan Athletic boss Owen Coyle hailed the manner of Nick Powell's goal in victory over Ipswich Town.

The midfielder is on-loan from Manchester United.

"When I was a striker it would have been taken first time!" said Coyle.

"The lad came back on the line but you wouldn't have thought there was anybody there the way he nonchalantly dispatched it, but that's Nick.

"He's got so much belief and ability in him and hopefully I can give him more and it benefits the football club."
