Wigan Athletic boss Gary Caldwell has expressed his delight after securing the services of Everton striker Conor McAleny on a loan deal.
The 23-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Championship club Charlton Athletic but will now turn out in League One with the Latics much to the liking of Caldwell.
"Conor is someone we were looking at last summer and have been keeping a close eye," he told the club's official website.
"He's a young player hungry to prove himself and we are delighted he will be able to do that with us for the rest of the season."
McAleny could be in line for his Wigan debut when the fourth-placed side head to Sheffield United on the weekend.
