Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is having his scouts track Le Havre striker Amadou Alassane.
Alassane has struck nine goals in a struggling Le Havre team this season and was watched by scouts from Wigan, Olympiakos and Hoffenheim in action against Valenciennes last week.
The lanky centre-forward has been likened to Arsenal star Emmanuel Adebayor.
