Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce has rubbished the transfer windows system.

"The transfer window is not a good thing for a club like ours," Bruce said. "In the past if you lost a big player through injury then you could go out and buy someone or get a short-term replacement. You can't do that now and that hinders you."
