Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce believes Hugo Rodallega came of age in his scoring performance against Manchester United last week.

"I thought Hugo was terrific against United and he certainly came of age," said Bruce.

"He has got used to playing in England, he knows what it's all about now, and I'm sure he'll be a great asset.

"He had the courage and ability to mix it with Nemanja Vidic, which was there for everyone to see."
