Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce has revealed he's rebuilding the club's scouting network this summer.

Bruce told the Wigan Evening Post: "I hope to be able to announce something about the scouting network later this month.

"We were left a bit light in that area when David Hamilton and Bill Green went to Derby, so it's an area we needed to address. A good scouting system is extremely important. I need people out there watching matches and players while I look after the squad here.

"In the past few months since I arrived, we've managed to take in a lot of games to see what is out there.

"We looked at plenty of games in France and Germany for example. We've been over to Central and South America."
