Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is eagerly looking forward to a genuine six-pointer against old club Birmingham City this week.

He said: "Bring it on. I've never known a tighter battle for survival.

"We've got six games left and four of them are at home. I think we need to win one and get another draw.

"If we do that it will be very difficult for Fulham and Bolton to catch us."
