Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is travelling to Florida for transfer talks.

Bruce will watch Deportivo Olimipia pair Maynor Figueroa and Hendry Thomas in action for Honduras, both players set for a move to the JJB Stadium on season-long loan deals, says the Wigan Evening Post.

Honduras are playing a friendly against Venezuela in Fort Lauderdale next Friday, before embarking on a two-legged World Cup qualifier with Puerto Rica in June.

The Venezuela clash gives Bruce a chance to see his targets in action as well as an opportunity for further negotiations with Olimipia officials over the double deal.
