Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce believes signing Cho Won-Hee will help the Latics push for a spot in Europe.
The South Korean midfielder has agreed to a permanent deal with the English club after securing a work permit and Bruce is delighted it all finally worked out.
"I could tell straight away that he was a good player," said Bruce.
"He can make a significant impact in the Premier League - that is why we are signing him. He's fast, strong, determined and has a terrific attitude on and off the field."
The 25-year old is expected to make the trip with the Latics to Sunderland this weekend where he may debut.
