Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce admits they're being priced out of a deal for Newcastle United striker Michael Owen.
Bruce concedes Owen's £100,000-a-week salary demands are well out of their price range.
He said: "I know the chairman is a fan but I don't think we could afford his wages.''
