Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce admits he wants Sir Alex Ferguson's job at Manchester United.

He said: "Whether you are playing or managing you want to get to the top of your profession. Why not set your aspirations to go to the very top? If I can, or if I get the opportunity, then who knows?

"But eight months ago I'd have been lucky to get Scunthorpe!"
