Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce predicts a bright future in the game for Callum McManaman who made his first-team debut against Portsmouth on Sunday.

Bruce said: "The kid McManaman has done very well in the reserves - he has a famous name and a lot of talent. He's a typical Scouser and we think highly of him."

McManaman will join the professional ranks next season after signing a one-year pro contract.
