Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce was delighted with Titus Bramble's display in their 0-0 draw with Stoke City.

Bruce said: "Titus gave a fantastic performance and I'm very pleased for him because he has his knockers. But he stood up to be counted and said: 'If you want to throw balls at me, I'll stand up and head them away'.

"I don't think we played well. We did everything we possibly could but my real quality players you needed to open something up with, it really wasn't their day."
