Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce believes the mickey-taking days of Titus Bramble are now over.

"Many people have taken the mickey out of him for too long," said Bruce. "I think he is starting to show a few people up. He is a very decent defender and fair play to him.

"What everybody forgets is that he is young. Certain defenders get better with age. They get that experience, where to be and where not to be, and above all not to make a howler. He has done that for months and he put in a magnificent performance against Chelsea."
