Wigan, Bolton among Premier League queue for Bullard

Wigan Athletic are being linked with released Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard.

The Daily Mail says he is 32 years old and has had a few bad knee injuries but his ability to turn a game and grab an important goal is still there. he may not have the energy levels he was once renowned for but there will be clubs now willing to take a gamble as they don't have to buy into his relatively huge salary.

QPR will be among the runners in the race to sign him while Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City have also been linked.

His agent Simon Dent says there has also been interest from Championship clubs and that will likely include Ipswich who had him on loan last season. Dent said: "This matter is now being dealt with by Jimmy's lawyers and we are confident that common sense will prevail.

"In the last 24 hours we have had interest from two Premiership clubs and two in the Championship."
