Wigan Athletic boss Chris Hutchings has tabled a £1.5 million offer for Bolton Wanderers defender Abdoulaye Faye.
The Daily Mail says Birmingham also want the Senegal defender but Wigan have made the first firm bid and Bolton boss Sammy Lee is prepared to sell.
