Wigan are lining up a £2million move for Plymouth Argyle winger Peter Halmosi, according to reports in his native Hungary.

Wolves are also reported to be interested, but Halmosi admits he would be keen to join a Premier League club in the January transfer window.

"Wigan are a big-name club, it would be a great opportunity for me to challenge myself," Halmosi told Nemzeti Sport.

"The team is not in a very good position in the Premier League at the moment but it is not a problem for me because I think a couple of won games and the team will be in a better position.

"But of course I am a player of Plymouth where I am appreciated and I like to play here as well."
