Honduras World Cup star Emilio Izaguirre is a target for Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez.

The Mirror says Latics have sent top spy John Benson to watch the highly-rated left-sided Latin and he could become the latest player to move to the club from the country.

Izaguirre is a regular in the Honduras side and could be brought in to replace Charles N'Zogbia, who is strongly tipped to move in the summer if the right bid comes in.

The Motagua player was spotted meeting Wigan officials at a training camp yesterday and Latics have admitted they are interested in recruiting again from a very profitable market.
